Mid-Term Academic Sponsorships

What will I get?

• Receive a 60% lump sum back payment of tuition fees, hostel fees and other approved charges

• Other benefits vary across the different mid-term sponsorships:

  • Mid-Term SAF Merit Scholarship (Mid-Term SMS)

  • Mid-Term SAF Academic Scholarship (Open / Local) (Mid-Term SAS(O) / SAS(L))

  • Mid-Term SAF Academic Award / SAF Engineering Award (Mid-Term SAA / SEA)

Eligibility criteria

• Period of eligibility: from start of undergraduate studies till 6 months after graduation

• Possess good academic results at current university

• Possess good co-curricular activities record and strong leadership qualities

• Qualifies for or excelled in Officer Cadet School

• Must be a Singapore citizen or Singapore PR intending to take up citizenship

• Possess a strong interest in a military career

Basic Conditions

• Mid-Term SMS / SAS holder will have to fulfil a 6-year bond after studies

• Mid-Term SAA / SEA holder will have to fulfil a 4-year bond after studies
